Eric built “Million Miles, Million Smiles” after traveling abroad and witnessing families lacking basic necessities. What began as a search for a way to help became a three-decade mission across more than fifty countries — and the life experience at the center of Eric's most-requested keynote. The mission didn't just shape his charity. It shaped the way he sees the world, and the way he now speaks about it on stage.
Million Miles, Million Smiles Tour
It all began when a long-time friend approached Eric and offered him a seat on a plane heading to meet up with a missionary group in Latin America. What Eric witnessed there — families without access to basic food and shelter — ignited a passion that would reshape his career and his life.
Eric realized he could use his unique talents as a comedian and magician to bring joy to communities in need while raising awareness and funds to provide tangible, lasting support.
The Magic of a Child's Love
In Latin American villages, children affectionately named Eric “Señor Mago Loco” — Mr. Crazy Magician. The children would see his show at their school during the day and bring their entire family to the village center or a large church for a second show that evening.
These moments — watching a child's face light up with wonder and laughter — became the driving force behind everything Eric does through Million Miles, Million Smiles.
Chickens & Eggs
The program focuses on practical, sustainable aid. Much of the money raised has gone to purchase pairs of chickens for families in Guatemala and West Africa. This simple but powerful gift enables families to sustain themselves through egg and meat production for years to come.
Beyond chickens, the program has provided food, supplies, and support to communities that need it most — always with an emphasis on long-term sustainability over short-term handouts.
Eric, through his fundraising and work with charitable organizations and mission groups, has purchased thousands of chickens for families around the world. This action has saved thousands of people in the poorest, most oppressed regions of our world.
Continents Around the World
What began in Latin America has grown into a global effort. Eric has performed 100’s of shows and delivered aid across Guatemala, Mexico, Cuba, Haiti, Jamaica, Puerto Rico, Burkina Faso, West Africa, China, South America, India, Vietnam, Cambodia, Morocco, and Peru.
Every trip combines entertainment with humanitarian work, proving that laughter truly is a universal language.
